From Hesstun, follow the well-marked path up to Veten (278m), the highest point of our hike. Continue southwards along Hamnfjellet to Storvatnet lake, passing Preikestolen (“Pulpit Rock”) and several other striking, rough-hewn rock formations. Consider a lunch break at Storvatnet, a lake that offers excellent fishing. From here the trail turns southwest toward Hamn, passing a cleft so large it is almost a canyon. There is a steep section as you prepare to descend. From Hamn, follow the road back to Hesstun, a distance of 4,5 km.
